Fosters have traveled all over the US going to professional conferences related to soil micro-biology and its function in sustainable agriculture.

Over the past ten years, they have come to the irrefutable conclusion that a literal soil/cropping train wreck will happen to conventional agriculture if a serious effort to remineralize soils isn't undertaken.  Composting is a great first step!
